Award-winning Australian Indie-Country artist Chris Pickering gets turntables spinning with the U.S. only release of a 7” vinyl featuring the first two singles from his critically acclaimed album, Work of Fiction. The record showcases "Fisherman's Daughter" and "I Just Want to Love" and will be available exclusively at Pickering's shows beginning with the release party on October 6 at The 5 Spot in Nashville with special guests The Alabama Shakes and Andrew Combs. Fans will have several opportunities to see the singer/songwriter play live surrounding the 12th Annual Americana Music Festival.

Now a Tennessee resident, Pickering has toured heavily throughout Australia, earning multiple music awards and nominations and releasing two full albums before turning his sights to the States. Since 2008, he has immersed himself in Nashville’s alt-country and indie music scenes, co-writing with local songwriters, gigging extensively and recording his third album, Work of Fiction (Oct. 2010, Longtime Listener), at Ardent Studios, Memphis with famed Stax producer Don Nix (Albert King, Freddie King). The album received rave reviews from both media and fans and helped to catapult Pickering’s advance in the 2011 MusicCity Mayhem competition hosted by Nashville’s Independent Radio Lightning 100. Chris Pickering continues to tour heavily throughout the U.S. and Australia.
