    Hidden In Plain Sight
On Monday, Oct. 17, Lipscomb University’s Department of Social Work and the End Slavery Tennessee organization will host community educator and trainer Karen Karpinski in a free lecture discussing “Hidden In Plain Sight: Human Trafficking in Our Community.”

Karpinski will speak on what human trafficking means and who it impacts. She will discuss why human trafficking continues to grow, the lures that traffickers use, who is most vulnerable and indicators to look for. She will also address the laws that apply to trafficking, the challenges of working with victims and techniques used to help victims.

Social workers may obtain one contact hour for attending this presentation.
