    The Rymer Gallery is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibition View From A Small Boat, featuring new work by artist John Guider. The show opens Saturday November 5, 2011 and will run through November 26, 2011.

    The opening reception will take place during the First Saturday Art Crawl Downtown on November 5 from 6:00pm-9:00pm.

    The photos reflect the life oriented to the river. There is the water level itself, whether too much or not enough. A heron erupts in flight, workers lay hose pipes in the river for drainage, pristine yachts crowd the marinas; an ominous plume of smoke emerges from a hidden landscape, a dark weather front casts a shadow on his sail. We see a collision of barges, fantasy-colored seascapes, gin-clear water with a swirl of tiny fish.
