October 18, 2011
Add Review/Comment
How did an Egyptian Governor of 2000 B.C. and his wife understand the universe and their place in it? What hopes and dreams for the afterlife are revealed by the beautiful objects in their tomb? On Tuesday, October 18, Dr. Lawrence Berman of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts will discuss the newly conserved and restored contents of Tomb 10A from Deir el-Bersha, about 175 miles south of Cairo.
The presentation will take place at the Parthenon at 7:00pm, with a reception following. Admission is free, but reservations are required (862-8431). The Parthenon Symposia are sponsored by the Archaeological Institute of America and the Conservancy for the Parthenon and Centennial Park.
