Jazz on the Move Special Concert with Marvin Stamm

The Frist Center and the Nashville Jazz Workshop present this special Jazz on the Move concert featuring a lecture and performance by legendary jazz trumpet player Marvin Stamm addressing the question, “What Is Improvisation?” Through musical demonstrations and interaction with the audience, Marvin will help unravel the mysteries of jazz improvisation and the creative process behind it. 

The residency is made possible through grants from South Arts and the Tennessee Arts Commission.
