Solo art exhibit by Elizabeth LaPenna, whose award-winning work is held in both private and corporate collections throughout the United States.

Several years ago, she changed her style from representational painting to working abstractly. This current exhibit, "New Horizons", is representative of LaPenna's experiments in that genre.

Her inspiration comes from many sources: her faith, light and color in nature, music, other artists, and even the materials.

From the artiist's statement: "As a classically trained artist, I take delight and joy in the freedom that abstract expressionism affords. I have come to understand that an artist should paint for her time. She must show the horizon, metaphorically speaking."

The exhibit is showcased in the Tennessee Art League's Ethel Smith Gallery
