Les Miserables is one of the most beloved musicals of our time. A trio of Nashville musicians (Larissa Maestro, Alex Caress, Jordan Caress) decided to interpret the music of Les Mis, a score they all count as an integral musical influence, for rock music and musical theater lovers alike. Drawing from the extraordinary pool of talent available in Music City, the directors have created a show that not only emphasizes the beauty of the score, but also reflects the diversity of influences that make Nashville so much more than a country music town. Sung in the natural voices of prominent local rock and pop performers, with contributions from members of the opera and theater communities, this production does not hinge on Broadway traditions, but instead, illuminates the emotionally potent content of the story and score.
