Please join us on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 3:00pm as NJW hosts a CD Release party for saxophonist Evan Cobb and his debut release Falling Up. The disc is already receiving rave reviews from the area's finest players:

A breath of fresh air. I find “Falling Up” to be innovative yet very respectful of the the jazz pioneers. Evan Cobb’s tone, on the tenor seems to project yesterday and today on each and every note. His compositions are inspiring…the choice of musicians could not have been better. A worthy addition to the wealth of jazz.

Evan has been hosting the successful NJW Jam Session for more than a year now and every month he writes a new tune to "showcase the jam session’s featured guest and create an open forum for players and listeners in attendance to discuss the jazz language and vocabulary." We at NJW have been thrilled to have him as part of the family, and are just as thrilled that six of his jam session songs are featured on this album!

Joining Evan in this performance and on the disc is an amazing band, featuring Bruce Dudley (piano), Matt White (trumpet), Jonathan Wires (bass), and Joshua Hunt (drums).
