Chamber Orchestra and Chamber Singers

Lipscomb University’s newest ensemble, the Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Steve Rhodes, performs classical music favorites along with the Chamber Singers, directed by Dr. Gary Wilson.

The Chamber Orchestra will perform three pieces with a Christmas feel. “Fantasia on Greensleeves” by Ralph Vaughan Williams, an adaption of “Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming” by Johannes Brahms, and the “Concerto Grosso No. 8” by Arcangelo Corelli, which is known as the Christmas Concerto.

The Chamber Singers will perform madrigals of the 16th and 17th centuries, including “April is in my Mistress Face,” “O Occhi Manza Mia,” “El Grillo,” “Weep, O Mine Eyes,” “Fair Phyllis,” and “Adoramus Te.”
