    What was once an acoustic duo playing dive bars in Pittsburgh has now flourished into a versatile, talented, engaging band that is turning Nashville heads and ears, and has shared stages with Merle Haggard, David Allen Coe and The Guess Who. The Shawn & Hobby Band utilize powerful harmonies, thumping rhythm and styled guitars to create an original and unique sound in a genre that typically lacks both. Listening to their debut album envokes a sense of "modern/classic" in the songs; they are as instantly recognizable as they are fresh and new--live, they are creative, powerful and truly entertaining...a show not to be missed. Shawn Lacy, Hobby Weiss, Chris Lohr, Ron Lavella and Sam Grumet make up the rockin'-country band that Nashville has accepted as their home.
