Join us tonight for Our Rising Star 13 winner, Jeremy Drinkwine's Round with Chris Janson and Ed Hill! Tonight's show is part of his Grand Prize!
Jeremy Drinkwine is an Independent artist with Southern flavored melodies peppered with a well told story. A Master Carpenter and the son of a Southern Baptist Preacher, his music is mature, passionate and sincere. He writes from where he lives. Home is where his heart is and his faith and family are the backdrop for the pictures he paints in songs like "Stars" and "We Met We Loved and We Got Married". Jeremy has been the front man for such bands as Fin, Collier Drinkwine and Tin Charlotte. All received acclaim for their work in the world of Modern Rock. After years in that genre and a couple of years away from music all together, Jeremy found his home in the Americana genre. This journey is chronicled in such songs as "Home Sweet Home" and "Southern Dream".
Singer Songwriter, Chris Janson, originally a Missouri native, has been in Nashville for four years. In 2006 he signed a publishing deal with Chrysalis Music Group, and began writing songs. Chris has toured the world, with such acts as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank Jr, Sugarland, and Shooter Jennings to name a few.... In late 2009 he signed a record deal with Sony Music's BNA Records. His first single/music video, "Til A Woman Comes Along" is currently streaming on CMT and GAC. Keep updated with Chris through his website, chrisjanson.com
Ed Hill, BMI's songwriter of the Year, has one incredible catalog of hits! Arriving in Nashville in 1986, Ed joined AMR/New Haven Music, and was soon getting cuts by Reba McEntire (“Til Love Comes Again”), Faith Hill (“It Matters to Me”), and John Michael Montgomery (“Be My Baby Tonight”). He also scored hits with Trace Adkins’s “Songs About Me,” and Martina McBride’s “Whatever You Say,” Tracy Lawrence’s comeback hit, “Find Out Who Your Friends Are.” And he has a track on Reba’s duets album with LeAnn Rimes, “When You Love Somebody Like That.” Not only a gifted songwriter, he is also one heck of a musician, he was nominated for the Academy of Country Music’s Piano Player of the Year in 1980 and ’82.
