Don’t tell mom – the babysitter’s nuts! Dumped by his lounge singer girlfriend (Anne Bancroft, in her first onscreen role), sulking pilot Jed (Richard Widmark) makes eyes with his neighbor (Marilyn Monroe), the gorgeous but damaged daughter of the building’s elevator operator who happens to be caring for another couple’s child. Jed goes to the room expecting fun, but things go downhill quickly when she mistakes him for her dead pilot boyfriend. Monroe comes through quite well in one of her few truly dramatic roles.
