Just South of Gihon is a fictional adaptation of the historical outlaws Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, a notorious couple of the 1930s Deep South who became infamous for their blatant neglect of the law and their young, vibrant personalities.

On a deeper level, the Biblical story of Adam, Eve, and the Creator God has been loosely adapted to fit within the confines of the Gangster Age. Bonnie and Clyde, once innocent children, adolesce into violent teenagers with a taste for rebellion. The police officer Frank Hamer hunts Bonnie and Clyde throughout the entire show, thinking himself to be the only righteous entity in a forsaken garden of sin. Yet Bonnie and Clyde carry on a loving relationship while Hamer and his wife Helen slowly dissolve into nothing. It takes heartbreak and hatred to break Hamer into realizing the truth: he may be responsible for the lives Bonnie and Clyde have led and the pain his family has experienced – he is only a sinner, but a redeemed one at that.
