Kellys Collins has deep roots in Country Music. Raised on a cattle ranch in South Texas, her creativity and love for music flourished at an early age. A self-taught musician, she wrote her first song at the age of five on an old upright piano. Early audiences grew from singing to a herd of goats on the ranch, to singing in churches and various parks and festivals around Texas. Her dreams of becoming a country music star were influenced by her father, abc/Dot recording artist Brian Collins, who had the 1974 hit “Statue of a Fool."

 

After making the move to Nashville, Kellys began to accompany some of country music's finest singers and writers doing background vocals and demos. In the summer of 2010 she was contacted by world published playwright, Noah Haidle, to co-compose a new musical entitled "Western Country." It was this unique experience that helped her develop her own style and song. The lonesome heartache heard in her voice, coupled with original melodies and poetic verse, puts Kellys’ kind of country in a category all its own.
