Enjoy live music at The Listening Room with Brittany Mason, Heather Batchelor & Friends at 7:00pm.  Jim Martin & Friends perform at 9:00pm.

Brittany Mason grew up in the Midwest in rural Ohio. She had an interest in music at a very young age and took piano lessons at the age of 9. It didn't take long for Brittany to beg her parents for a guitar and not long after she began guitar lessons. Brittany's first debut was with her older brother in her grandparents' church at the age of 5. Brittany and her brother fought over the microphone and she has been banned from singing there since. She began writing songs at 16 and played bass in the Ohio based rock band Second Echo. Brittany's time with Second Echo was brief as the band had decided to split. Brittany moved to Nashville at 21, has recorded background vocals for an independent artist and is an active member of NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International).

Heather Batchelor: This Arkansas native fell in love with singing at an early age and at 18 decided to make the move to Austin to pursue a career in music. Now 23, this pop/acoustic singer-songwriter has taken her voice and guitar to many a coffee house and bar, playing such venues as Austin's own Cactus Cafe. While a student at The University of Texas at Austin, she performed at numerous campus events such as the 65 Roses Benefit Concert for Cystic Fibrosis. She was also asked to sing the National Anthem a time or two to kickoff many of these events. Her debut EP, "Fine Line", was released on iTunes in July of this year. Nowadays, you can find Heather in Nashville, playing around town and continuing to write music.

Jim Martin has had songs recorded by The Rossington Band, Michael English, The Statler Brothers, Bill Anderson, and Engelbert Humperdink. He has been a staff writer for Mel Tillis Enterprises and also wrote for BMG Publishing.  He is from Enterprise AL
He is a graduate of the Music Business program of University Of North Alabama( The first institution of higher learning to offer such a degree.
