    Historic StARTS art classes for children, sponsored by The Arts Council of Williamson County for children, ages three to six, will examine the art of friendship with “Victorian Valentine” on Tuesday, February 14, at 10:00am at Carnton Plantation in Franklin.

    Historic StARTS art classes for children, sponsored by The Arts Council of Williamson County for children, ages three to six, will examine the art of friendship with “Victorian Valentine” on Tuesday, February 14, at 10:00am at Carnton Plantation in Franklin.

    Casey Kirk, instructor, outlines the program, "The children will celebrate a time of love and giving by exploring how friendship was celebrated during the end of the 1800s. Students will create their own cards that express friendship and create sculptures that feature a heart shape."

    The instructor for this class Casey M. Kirk, of Franklin, was atelierista at Spring Hollow Early Learning Center in Franklin. Her other teaching experience includes visual arts teacher, K-5, at Piner Elementary in Morning View, Ky.; arts and humanities teacher, K-5, at Ockerman Elementary in Florence, Ky.; and pre-kindergarten lead teacher at Arlington Elementary in Lexington, Ky.
