    Celebrating National Poetry Month and the exhibition To See as Artists See: American Art from The Phillips Collection, nationally and locally known poets will read poems by American poets from the late nineteenth century through the twentieth century. The poets will select poems that reflect the exhibition themes and illuminate one or two art works in the exhibition. Come along and find out if your favorite poem will be read aloud.

    Rick Hilles is the author of the poetry collection Brother Salvage, winner of the Agnes Lynch Starrett Poetry Prize. He and his wife, the fiction writer Nancy Reisman, live here in Nashville where he is assistant professor of English at Vanderbilt University.
