Watkins College of Art, Design & Film presents a series of six Senior Thesis Exhibitions celebrating the work of 13 graduating students in the Fine Art and Photography departments. Four shows with receptions will be staged in the Brownlee O. Currey, Jr. Gallery on campus and two in community locations.

Photography major Kevin Free will exhibit his work, titled "Transition," at Robert Churchwell Museum Magnet Elementary School on Thursday, April 12, with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m. The students of Churchwell, which include Free's son, are the subject of the exhibition, and the images will remain on permanent display at the school. Photographs taken by students, using disposable cameras provided by Free, will also be on display that evening.

The exhibition and reception are free and the public is invited.

Artist's Statement: "Transition" photographically documents the process of moving my son from an elementary school in the suburbs into an inner city magnet school. The work in "Transition" is being created on a large format camera and printed digitally. There is an accompanying sound piece that will give an additional environment to the photography.

Updates to programming of all senior thesis exhibitions will be posted to the Watkins website: www.Watkins.edu.
