The Rymer Gallery is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibition Alumni: new ground Director’s Choice, featuring new work by newly graduated MFA candidates. The show opens Saturday June 2, 2012 and will run through June 30, 2012. The Rymer Gallery is bringing the best of the emerging talent from the top art schools in the country to Nashville.

On the main floor Natalie Dunham, our gallery director, is co-curating the best selection of graduating artists from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) MFA programs. Ms. Dunham graduated from the Rinehart School of Sculpture at the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2010, and was honored to have to opportunity to review the new graduates work this spring. MICA is ranked in the top 10 MFA programs in the visual arts by U.S. News & World Report, named one of the top two studio arts programs in the country by Parade Magazine, and The Princeton Review named MICA a "Best Northeastern College" in 2008, 2009, and 2010.

In addition The Rymer Gallery will be presenting new works from graduates from Savannah College of Art and Design in the project room and mezzanine. Artists include Charles Clary and Caleb Charland (additional artists TBA). We believe these emerging artists are museum and New York bound. We are proud to present them in Nashville.

The gallery will host a public reception on June 2, 2012 for the First Saturday Art Crawl  Downtown from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
