Participants will begin by viewing the exhibition Metamorphoses: Drawings by Erin Anfinson, Kristi Hargrove, Mark Hosford, and Chris Scarborough with the artist. Participants will begin by viewing the exhibition Metamorphoses: Drawings by Erin Anfinson, Kristi Hargrove, Mark Hosford, and Chris Scarborough with the artist. Then, participants will learn basic drawing techniques that explore how to create an image that moves from the physical to the psychological. At the end of the workshop, participants will transform a drawing of a basic geometric or biomorphic shape and shift the appearance of that shape into other variations through attention to detail and surface.
No previous drawing experience required. This workshop is intended for beginners.
