FESTIVALS

The Nashville Whiskey Festival will have over 30 distilleries represented to educate and answer questions from participants. There will be three seminars during the event for consumers to participate in, headed by master distillers and mixologists, including Tim Laird.

The festival will feature an outdoor cigar kiosk, live music, and food. In addition to distilleries, the Nashville Whiskey Festival welcomes Schlafly, Bluegrass Brewing Co., and Kentucky Ale Brewing with their Bourbon Barrel Brews. Every participant will receive a Special Edition Nashville Whiskey Festival Riedel whiskey glass to taste with and keep.

VIP Hour: 1:00pm - 2:00pm
Guests will get an extra hour to taste and have the opportunity to taset some rarer bourbons and whiskeys that will only be poured in that first hour. Additionally, guests will receive a very special goodie bag.
General Admission:2:00pm - 6:00pm
General tasting which will include over 30 American Craft Distilleries represented and edcational seminars given by Master Distillers

Additionally, all guests will have access to the Cigar Kiosk, Food provided by Porter Road Butcher and other local vendors, a live bluegrass band, and each customer will receive a free special edition Nashville Whiskey Festival Riedel tasting glass to taste with and take home.

Seminar #1
What They Don't Tell You About Opening A Small Craft Distillery (2:30pm - 3:15pm)
Balcones' Master Distiller, Chip Tate, and Prichards' Master Distiller, Phil Prichard, host a 45 minute seminar on the trials and tribulations of small craft distilleries. While partaking in their whiskies, these small craft distillers will enlighten you on all that comes with making a small craft distillery blossom, how Prichards and Balcones distilleries got started, and how the recent upswell of the small craft distillery has turned the whiskey world upside down.

The Art of the Modern Whiskey Cocktail with Tim Laird (3:45pm - 4:30pm)
America's Chief Entertaining Officer and cocktail guru, Tim Laird, brings his vast knowledge of the art behind the special crafting of cocktails. Brand spokesman and CCO (Chief Cocktail Officer) for major fine wine and spirits producer, Brown-Forman, will walk you through the art and body of the modern cocktail with a special emphasis on whiskey based refreshments. Tim will work his cocktail magic and share and create some of his favorite recipes with you. What's even better is that you will be able to taste a few of them! Using hot new products and ideas combined with the timeless staples of cocktails, Tim will give you lots of insight on the tips and tricks of this tasty trade. Tim has made appearances on ABC and Fox showing off his vast knowledge and savvy when it comes to cocktails and food pairing.

The Evolution of Bourbon with Master Distillers Fred Noe of Jim Beam & Jimmy Russell of Wild Turkey (5:00pm - 5:45pm)
When we say we save the best for last, we really mean it. You'll feel like you're sitting on the front porch in a rocking chair drinking with old friends in this seminar hosted by two long time Master Distillers, Fred Booker and Jimmey Russell. Two of the most revered whiskey distillers in the world, Fred and Jimmy have witnessed the rise, fall, and revival of whiskey production in the South. They will express their personal takes on the evolution of bourbon through the past few decades and the growth of "small batch" bourbon, while tasting with you on their own "babies": Russell's Reserve 6 & 10 year, Basil Hayden's, Bookers & more. Take it from us, we're pretty sure they know exactly what they're talking about.
