First Annual East-Centric Music Festival Unveils Line Up for September 15, 2012

First Annual East-Centric Music Festival Unveils Line Up for September 15, 2012

Lucinda Williams was quoted as saying, “Initially, her stunning voice hooked me in. Then I got inside the songs. The first chance I got, I went to see her perform…I was floored!” Heart’s own Nancy Wilson called her “my Aussie clone”. She is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, producer and video director and will leave you standing with your jaws dropped from the first riff she plays, and headlining East-Centric Pavilion’s first annual East-Centric Music Festival on Saturday, September 15, 2012 is none other than Anne McCue!

Delivering music to your ears so visceral it will permeate the air you breathe faster than a Mentos?, Anne McCue will command your attention and subdue you with her musical conveyance of her poetic melody of guitar wizadry and verbal spell. With six solo albums and too many compilations to count, Anne has performed at Lilith Fair and has opened for Heart, Richard Thompson, Pat Benatar, and Lucinda Williams, who included McCue on her Starbucks’ Artist’s Choice CD alongside Paul Westerberg, John Coltrane, Ryan Adams, The Band, and Leonard Cohen. Voted Roots Music Association’s Folk Artist of the Year in 2008 and performer in the Jimi Hendrix tribute in the 2007 International Guitar Festival, McCue has also been included in the Four Decades of Folk Rock box set alongside Bob Dylan, CSN, Patty Griffin, and Wilco, East-Centric is ecstatic to have its very own 37206, Anne McCue!

In an even more eager attempt to overload your senses, during East-Centric’s all day festival, which includes a Beer Garden of local brews, a Food Truck extravaganza, along with other ‘surprises’ from our fabulous sponsors, our music list falls nothing short of being stellar with performances by Kate Tucker, Alana Royale, Amy McCarley, Kin Ship, Declan McGarry, Mockingbyrd, Jesse Lafser, and a special winner of the “East-Centric” Lightning 100 contest! And(with a wink and a grin), after the fabulous Ms. McCue exits the stage, the after-hours festivale act, tHE HEARtS IN LIGHt, will send the night out in style with cosmically danceable, electro-pop/rock tunes and an electrifying visual show.
