People of Nashville are encouraged to purchase a Pink CFL bulb and light it up the evening of October 20th, 2012 after the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk as a unifying symbol of support for Breat Cancer Awareness and love for Breast Cancer Survivors.

Starting Mid-September Wal-Mart will be selling Pink CFL bulbs to support Breast Cancer month through a program called "The Power of the Pink".

We want everyone to email Mayor Karl Dean and other city officials asking them to change prominent lights in the Nashville Skyline on October 20th to unify the community to support Breast Cancer Awareness.

"How about the Batman Building? Wouldn't that be awesome to see displaying a bright Pink light, or what about LP Field! What a great message it sends not only to our community but to Breast Cancer survivors in Middle Tennessee that our community is dedicated to raising awareness." says Candie Hedge founder of the Light Up the Night Pink Nashville initiative.

The Pink CFL bulbs will be available to purchase at any local Wal-Mart starting in Mid-September. October 20th is also the same day as the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Downtown Nashville.
