The Arts Company on 5th Avenue of the Arts launches the fall art season with two exhibitions by two legendary Nashville-based artists, John Baeder: The Magic of Illusion and Reality: Painting and Photography, a new photographic series by acclaimed painter and photographer John Baeder; and Outtakes from The Archives, never-before-seen outtake photographs by legendary music photographer Jim McGuire. Both Baeder and McGuire have each shared the out-of-the-spotlight life with Nashville’s artistic and musical icons. The work in each of these exhibitions reveals the shared intimacy of Nashville’s musical and artistic worlds, an intimacy of friendship that distinguishes the artistic integrity of Nashville’s artists in all art forms. There is laughter, insight, and moments of truth in the vision of these two artists.

The dual exhibitions begin October 6 during First Saturday Art Crawl, 6:00pm-9:00pm, and continue throughout November during regular gallery hours. A special first-look collectors’ preview is scheduled during Collectors Art Night on Friday, October 5. The collectors’ preview event is free, but advance registration is required.
