LookIn: Nashville's Nutcracker
November 29, 2012
Come "look in" at what happens before the curtain goes up. Walk into the private world of rehearsal and learn about the creative process of the director, set designer, and costume designer. View an excerpt of the performance as it is being shaped in the rehearsal process. LookIns are a fun way to see what goes on behind the scenes. And they're free!
Learn how dancers tell a story without words, but with beautiful body movement. This accessible story is the perfect introduction to ballet for those who aren't familiar with the classic art form. And a LookIn provides an insider's experience as we will be in the rehearsal studio with the dancers while they rehearse. The artistic director will provide background information on Nashville's Nutcracker as a ballet, as well as give us insight into the world of choreography and dance. Whether you're new to ballet or a lifelong fan, you'll enjoy this unique experience. Seating is limited, so reserve your spot today. This LookIn format will be to view the rehearsal and then adjourn to a Q & A session with the artistic director and cast members.
Please Note: This event takes place at Nashville Ballet's studio (3630 Redmon Street, Nashville).
