Nashville Skyline Final Four Brunch with NCLR

All are welcome to Pre-Game with NCLR Sports Project at our annual Final Four brunch overlooking downtown Nashville on the 28th floor of the beautiful Pinnacle Building. The Pinnacle at Symphony Place is conveniently located 2 blocks from Bridgestone Arena. Enjoy delicious food, drinks, complimentary beer, wine, and a selection of craft cocktails and sangrias while meeting women’s basketball fans from across the country.
NCLR Sports Project announces Coach Lin Dunn and Coach Sherri Murrell will be in attendance. Lin Dunn is the head coach of the Indiana Fever with whom she won the 2012 WNBA Championship. Coach Dunn has also coached in the Final Four and boasts over 646 wins in college and professional basketball. Portland State University head women’s basketball coach, Sherri Murrell, is the only out NCAA Division I women’s basketball coach. Murrell was the fastest coach in Portland State history to reach the 50-win mark. She has been the Big Sky Conference Coach of the Year twice and led Portland State to its first ever NCAA Tournament appearance in 2008-09.
About NCLR: The National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR) has been advancing the civil and human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and their families through litigation, legislation, policy, and public education since it was founded in 1977. Based in San Francisco, this non-profit organization has been actively advocating for equality in Tennessee. The NCLR represents the 3 same-sex couples who just won their case for the State of Tennessee to legally, fully, recognize their marriages.
About NCLR Sports Project: Since the Sports Project’s inception, NCLR has worked to eliminate discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in sports through advocacy, outreach, and litigation. Under the leadership of former NCAA women’s basketball championship coach and athletic director Helen J. Carroll, we have provided assistance to hundreds of high school, university, and professional athletes, coaches, and sport personnel. NCLR’s Sports Project works on all levels of athletic competition, from the NCAA to the NFL, to ensure that LGBT athletes can compete and participate openly and equally and LGBT coaches, spectators, and sport administrators have representation and a voice in the evolving world of athletics.
