Add Review/CommentJulia Morrisroe's work critically focuses on cultural commodities and consumer culture that has a metaphysical impact on our society. In the Speed at Six Series, she works with the image of 'speed' as depicted in comic and coloring books. The series explores how speed is depicted and then she isolates the action of speed while creating a strong sense of depth and illusion of space. Julia Morrisroe resides in Gainesville, Florida and is an Assistant Professor and Foundations Coordinator at the University of Florida. She received her MFA from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
