If there's one thing Nashville knows how to do, it's throw a party. Head down to Riverfront Park for a day filled with entertainment and family fun and an evening of incredible fireworks dancing in the night sky to the rhythm of the Nashville Symphony. Hailed as one of the best fireworks displays in the nation, this annual event attracts more than 100,000 spectators each year. The day's festivities feature a Free Family Fun Zone plus food vendors with a sampling of everything from All-American favorites to Southern specialties. And did we mention the music? Pre-show live music from The Dirt Drifters, Dead Country, Chris Janson and Jeffrey Steele will entertain you from 3-6pm. Keni Thomas will perform the National Anthem. The official 2-hour concert will kick off at 8pm with music from Rodney Atkins, Taylor Swift and Van Zant. As the sky darkens, the renowned Nashville Symphony shares center stage with a spectacular pyrotechnic display. Additional Activities: Check out East Park (700 Woodland Street) noon-2pm, before the show begins downtown, for the Music City Hot Chicken Festival. Taste some hot chicken, enter the Hot Chicken Contest and enjoy the fiery fun.
