This program highlights the fascinating past and future plans for one of Nashville's most interesting cultural resources. The Thompson family of Glen Leven and the Overton family of Travellers Rest lived as neighbors while experiencing the growth of Nashville into a major economic center during the nineteenth century. An important Civil War site, Glen Leven served as a Union Army hospital during the 1864 Battle for Nashville. Get an insider's view of the house and nearly 65 acres of undeveloped land through photographs and stories.
