Add Review/CommentThe first program of 2008 continues the Double Take series, featuring important American composers. Michael Torke's Telephone Book is an energetic quintet based on the myriad of repetitions and small changes found in the entries of the phone book. Also on the program are Martinu's Three Madrigals for violin and viola, and Schubert's String Quintet in C major, one of the greatest works of the Romantic chamber music repertoire. All proceeds from the concert benefit the Nashville Adult Literacy Council. Performance Location: Steve and Judy Turner Recital Hall, Blair School of Music.
