PEELANDER-Z, the Japanese Action Comic Punk Band, was formed by Peelander-Yellow, Peelander-Blue, and Peelander-Red (claim they are from Z area in the Planet Peelander!!) in 1998, and came into action based in NYC. These three dress up in color-coordinated costumes about as if they came out of Japanese Animation (claim those are not costumes, but the skin!!!) put on a fun entertainment. Yes, their performance is not just playing music. Have you heard of human bowling, wrestling and kung-fu action, or funny dance at the punk rock shows? Peelander-Z knows how to entertain the audience by dragging them into the show. One experience would capture you!! Peelander-Z is the best of the universe!

I used to remember thursday nights in Nashville. Where is everyone at? The recession hit that hard that folks just don't come out anymore even for a moderately decent rock show? Not sure who put this bill together, but I'm sure they were wringing their hands last night. Never head of the first band before- "the Cold Stares". Not sure how to describe them, but they were a quite pleasant surprise. LOUD, nasty heavy blues stuff. Perhaps the most original band I've seen in a while. They should have closed the show. 2nd up, some eric johnson type fellow minus the bad singing. Kinch's doodling was pretty tired after the first 3 songs. Sounded well, but just never seem to land home. By the time Dear and the Headlights hit the stage, everything just felt tired. Great band, great energy, but a room full of lackluster pre-21 crowd just seem sterile, boring and made me wonder where the hell the old nashville has gone. Collapse

This night is the reason I live in Nashville. The guys came out with Ronnie McCurry and one other to sing along. The six of them killed it!! Despite the lack of crowd, the boys played like they were in front of 60,000. Aside from them taking requests from the crowd of course. (Think JellyFish!!) I'm a new believer of the guys now and hope everyone will give them a listen if afforded the opportunity. Collapse

37 rocked the place and was by far the best band that I saw. Their style was very enthusiastic and I liked how you could actually understand their lyrics, and it was not just yelling.
