"Arrivals and Departures" by Terry Jackson, Metro Archives and NCCA Board Member. During the 19th century many graves were moved from family cemeteries in the country to the City Cemetery and there were also removals from the City Cemetery to Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Helpful Information: Parking is available on the cemetery grounds. Visitors are reminded to wear comfortable shoes because of the rough and uneven roadways.
