TPAC Presents InsideOut of the Lunchbox: Nashville Ballet: Twyla Tharp's Octet

Get a sneak peak at Nashville Ballet's Octet by internationally celebrated choreographer Twyla Tharp. Paul Vasterling, Nashville Ballet's Artistic Director, and Stan Link, Vanderbilt's Associate Professor of the Philosophy and Analysis of Music, will discuss the piece, and dancers from Nashville Ballet will perform excerpts. Octet features music by Edgar Meyer and is described by Tharp as one of her most distilled creations. InsideOut is for adults who want to grow in their knowledge and enjoyment of the performing arts. The TPAC Education program offers a series of lunch seminars, performance excerpts, discussions, workshops, and sneak previews behind the scenes. TPAC Education joins Vanderbilt University for this lunchtime series that features the Nashville Ballet's Winter Series. A free box lunch will be provided for the first 300 people to RSVP.

    I saw this musical back in the 80's and I thought last week's performance was just as awesome as it was back then! Ted Neely and the rest of the cast were terrific!

    Richard Thomas (Of Walton's Fame), Kevin Dobson (from Knott's Landing) and the other 10 jurors are great in this award-winning drama ... I would highly recommend going!

    Saw this in Las Vegas and highly recommend to any woman who admits she's over the age of 30. Funniest thing I've seen in many years. You'll laugh until you cry!
