Aesop's Fables, Nashville's Ballet's newest children's ballet, features four famous tales: The Tortoise and the Hare, The Fox and the Crow, The Ants and the Grasshopper and The Wind and the Sun. These stories are woven together with an original narrative about Aesop, who began life as a slave and eventually won his freedom through his cautionary storytelling. Each character is portrayed as a human, allowing us to decide which people we know exhibit the same "animal behavior" as the characters in the fables. After the performance, the children will be invited on stage to learn key movements from the dancers! Presented in the 1st Floor Auditorium of the Main Branch of the Nashville Public Library. Running time: 1 hour.
