You've seen the Frank Capra film many times, but have you actually HEARD it? Return with us to those thrilling days of yesteryear, when news, music, comedy, drama, and soap operas came into our homes via radio. The time is Christmas Eve 1946 in a changed and changing post-WW II America. It's not James Stewart, Donna Reed, and Lionel Barrymore - it's station WBFR where five talented radio players bring you all the characters (Mary and George Bailey and their children, mean ol' Mr. Potter, Clarence the Angel, and 20 more) plus commercials, costumes, sound effects, and music. And the powerful story of George's journey of self-worth: Every person's life is important and life could never be the same without YOU. Last year Tennessee Rep delighted audiences with a twist on 'A Christmas Carol'. This year you'll be just as delighted by a live 'radio theatre' version of 'It's a Wonderful Life'. Helpful Information: Appropriate Audience is Middle School and above. No Late Seating.
