12th and Porter

One of the best and most respected live-music stages in Nashville, 12th and Porter operates daily as one of the city's foremost label showcase venues and is the setting for many rare and surprise shows. Open to all genres, live music can be heard six nights a week. In addition, 12th and Porter offers its guests upscale pub fare, fun specialty drinks, and a tasteful selection of wines.

      The talent in this town always amazes me, however last night the stage at 12th and Porter was on fire!! Noelle LaRae can flat out blow the doors off,with a couple covers and multiple originals. The best was the oncore the band left and she owned the stage just her and piano with a heart renching performance of her own song Freight train! Talent way beyond her years. Wow! Collapse

      A great band from out of town doing a set tonight (Wed. 2/17) at 8:00pm at 12th and Porter. They are The Ugli Stick, and they are honestly one of the best bands I have EVER seen in my life. They are from Alabama, (originally Mobile, lately Muscle Shoals) and man can they can lay it down! Imagine, if you will, a southern version of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, with influences from the Beatles, Rage Against the Machine, Bob Marley, Black Crowes, James Brown and Funkadelic. The grooves are fierce, the songs are melodic and funky, the drums are powerful, guitars are sonically cool and cover a wide range of territory, their vocals are tight, and the bass player simply has to be seen (and heard) to be believed. Really. Seriously, I love these guys and hope you can slide by and check em out tonight at 12th and Porter. You won't be disappointed! Collapse

      I've heard good things about Brother Trouble for the past few months and decided to check out their show last night at 12th and Porter. I was blown away. These guys are by far the most entertaining music act in Nashville, including artists I've heard who are signed to major record deals. They're songs are great and I love the way they interact with each other and the crowd. Thanks Brother Trouble, I'm sold! Collapse
