    The Disappearance of Janey Jones Z. Alexander Looby Theatre at Looby Branch of the Nashville Public Library The Disappearance of Janey Jones Presented by Tennessee Women's Theater Project at Z. Alexander Looby Theatre at Looby Branch of the Nashville Public Library February 24-March 11, 2012 Regional premiere! Janey Jones can’t get out of bed. She’s lost her job, her boyfriend has dumped her, and she’s sliding into the kind of serious depression that swallowed her grandmother. Desperate and alone, she watches past and present collide as her room is invaded by a fortune teller, her doctor, her dead grandparents, her ex, her mother and more. Can she find a future beyond the darkness, a life worth getting out of bed to explore?

      This show needs to continue by traveling to schools across the country. It teaches a vital history lesson in a very impressionable way. I took 2 of my 4 children ages 11 and 16 and both went away... Expand

      This show needs to continue by traveling to schools across the country. It teaches a vital history lesson in a very impressionable way. I took 2 of my 4 children ages 11 and 16 and both went away with a very good understanding of the story and they both really enjoyed the performance. We were all emotionally attached to every character portrayed by your amazing actress. Thank you, thank you!! Collapse

      We saw the "Warrior's Don't Cry" performance last night and we were spellbound! Vilia Steele portrayed each character so well, it was hard to imagine that she was the only one on stage. The play was packed with emotion and full of energy. There were times to cry and laugh throughout this very important depiction in our history. We truly have seen the birth of an exceptional young actress and I am quite sure we will see her around for many years to come. Bravo!! Cudos to Maryanna Clark! Collapse
