The Rutledge

The Rutledge is a 250 capacity live music venue featuring local and regional performing artists. The venue is named after Rutledge Hill on which the building sits. It consists of split level seating with an unobstructed sight line, state of the art sound system including subwoofers built into a sand filled stage, sound absorbing floor and a multi faceted lighting system. It features a custom made copper topped bar surrounded by original 19th century brick walls creating the ultimate atmosphere.  The Rutledge is a live-music venue designed by entertainers for entertainers.  Located one block from the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, The Rutledge offers salads, grilled items, deli sandwiches and a specialized liquor menu.  The Rutledge is located within walking distance of downtown hotels and attractions.

      We went to the march 18 show. It was a waste of money. 20-30 minutes into the show we were bored. The bro-lesque was awful. They weren't cute, weren't built, couldn't dance and were not funny. The audience quickly thinned out . We left early(cause we were bored) so we didn't hear the flavor savers. The band that played during the first part of the show was not what you expect from a burlesque show. It could almost be classified as alternative and they kept playing original songs. Oh, except for the song by the White Zombies, but then again everything tied in...Death, horrible upbringing, etc. If you like rage and despair, they are the ones to go to. The band is somewhat rude to be new. The one player shouts that if he know anyone that he hasn't talked to, come and see him after the show...How about the appreciation for the new people and a thank you for coming. Collapse

      There are some of the greatest Nashville Rock/Metal bands playing this show. VooDoo prophet rocks, if you're into local music, I'm sure you've heard or seen of them, they're a pretty big local act. I saw "Forgotten Fable" last time they played at the Rutledge, best stage show & music I've seen & heard in Nashville. Their still new from what I understand, so I'd see them now before they look like little ants when you pay to see them at the Sommet Center in the near future. Best $5 you'll ever spend. Collapse
