Historic Carnton Plantation
Located in Franklin, the Historic Carnton Plantation is a private non-profit historic site featuring a restored antebellum home, a recreated one-acre 1847 garden, slave quarters, smokehouse, springhouse and the adjacent Confederate and family cemetery. Home of The Widow of the South, Carnton was a field hospital after the 1864 Battle of Franklin. Tours available.
