Nashville Children's Theatre

Nashville Children's Theatre (NCT) is Tennessee's only professional, non-profit theatre dedicated exclusively to kids and families. Throughout its history, NCT has introduced young people to the magic of live theatre through a full line-up of stage productions and related educational programs.

Eighty years is a big achievement!
Especially considering that it’s 10 times older than our average audience member! As a point of reference, however, 80 years is only a tiny fraction of the lifespan of a dragon, who, according to the internet, can live anywhere from 3,000 to 10,000 years… but we digress. We are thrilled to be at this 80th Anniversary milestone, and are incredibly pleased that you’re here, too! Step across this threshold with us, because our history (and our future) is with YOU.

    The Watsons go to Birmingham - 1963 Nashville Children's Theatre The Watsons go to Birmingham - 1963 Presented by Nashville Children's Theatre at Nashville Children's Theatre January 17-February 12, 2012 It’s 1963, and the Watsons, an African-American family, are taking a road trip from Flint, MI to Birmingham, AL.     Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type Nashville Children's Theatre Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type Presented by Nashville Children's Theatre at Nashville Children's Theatre April 3-May 13, 2012 Farmer Brown’s cows find an old typewriter in the barn, and next thing you know, click-clack-moo, clickety-clack-moo, Farmer Brown gets a typewritten note: Dear Farmer Brown, The barn is very cold at night. We’d like some electric blankets. Sincerely, The Cows When Farmer Brown refuses to comply, the cows go on strike. With the help of a neutral duck arbitrator, everything gets back on track... kind of.

      I took my daughter, who's 6 years old, and her friend to see the show. We loved it! The actors were great, the music was terrific, and the story was a good one... It was probably my all time... Expand

      I can't wait for Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day! We just saw Tom Sawyer and it was incredible. My kids are already pumped for this show and we are going on opening... Expand
