      Wonderful experience for us and our 5 year old grandson! Even the Rockettes show was a hit! The only real disappointment to him was the indoor boat rides which were not running. The Rainforest Cafe was sorely missed. Perhaps it could relocate within walking distance. A kid oriented restaurant would be a bonus to the premises. Loved the carriage ride and ICE! "Snow" would have been great if the weather had cooperated. The hotel staff was superb! Micro-frig in rooms are essential for families of little ones. Overall great experience for our family.       We were very disappointed in SNOW. The snow was so hard-packed from people walking on it that you couldn't roll a ball to start a snowman or fill a block to build a fort unless you wanted to first chip away at it-- and forget making a snow angel! The only loose snow available was what they were blowing out of a tube; people were camped out in front of it trying to collect enough snow to make snowballs, forts and snowmen. My 6 year old was very frustrated; she ended up using a ball someone else had rolled up and making a snowhead rather than a snowman. Smores were $5 for ingredients for 2, hot chocolate $3.50- way too expensive, especially after a $15 fee to break your neck walking on icy, hard-packed snow. My daughter did enjoy petting a real reindeer, but the picture wasn't worth $20. In my opinion, keep your money, and wait for the real thing-- this snow isn't much fun! Collapse

      I visited the ICE exhibit last Friday (12/3/10) with my wife, 16 year old daughter, and my 18 month old granddaughter. We were nicely greeted at the door, and were convinced to buy the VIP tickets for entrance into Ice. I was assured "no waiting in line" -true, and then told I would get a commemorative mug and hot chocolate at the end of the exhibit. When we got to the end, I was told that I didn't have a piece of a ticket stub required for the 3rd mug and chocolate, which I am sure was taken by the guy at the entrance to the exhibit. In all I had 7 ticket stubs, including my receipt for OVER $100, and the hot chocolate lady wanted to make the missing stub piece a major issue. It's bad enough they upcharged me for the VIP tickets, which I didn't need because there wasn't any line whatsoever, but then they wanted to kill the experience by arguing over 1 mug. Once a fool, shame on you...twice a fool shame on me. They won't get that chance again. I can tell you more at 293-3076. Collapse

      I don't have extra money or a six-figure income like my father did-so I have to be selective about memories that have to be bought. The tickets have to be bought-you get to MAKE the memories for just the cost of your willingness to spend time with your family. (I'm not "too happy" of a kind of person, either, for those of you feeling sick by my warm words!!) Seriously, this is an adventure you have to experience. You may not dream about it or want to go EVERY year, but if you are blessed with a child as I am, hear me when I say "do it now" and don't put it off until a tomorrow that is not even promised to us! Yes, it's cold and I want my own suit instead of that "blue thing" and yes, your child will wear you out about hot choclate...so enjoy it. There will be a day soon when it IS too late...they'll be off with their friends like we were! It's always a beautiful, amazingly creative story. As Nike would say, "Just Do It." Happy Holidays!       My BUNCO group was at the last Bunco Bash that was in Nashville, and we had the best time. We were sadden to hear the next year that it was going to be in Vegas. We are so GLAD that it is back in Nashville. The girls in my group can not wait until October. We are so EXCITED. A great time for lots of BUNCO FUN, and a great way to meet other BUNCO girls.       If you want an entertaining evening with Elvis, Tina Turner and Elton John a great place to be is on the General Jackson Dinner Showboat. Tribute impersonators, the General Jackson singers and dancers present a medley of Christmas songs and old favorites that will have your toes tapping, your hands clapping and you singing along. The choreography, the stunning Christmas costumes and live orchestra are rich in Christmas appeal. Elton John is probably the most flamboyant Santa you?ll ever see. Tina Turner has you Rollin? Down the River and rockin? the boat while Elvis sings Oh Come All Ye Faithful with all the passengers as the spirit of Christmas fills the boat.       This year the wonderful traditional Old Hickory Steakhouse presents a special winter holiday "Old Hickory Gets Hearty" menu. The menu is a break from the fine steaks served here during the year to present hearty seasonal comfort food dishes with flare. All the creative comfort-style offerings are great but suggested features are a rich Roasted Chicken Pot Pie appetizer, the hearty Double Thick Stuffed Pork Chop, a very unique and luxurious Kobe Meatloaf and a light and tasty Pumpkin Souffle, enhanced by homemade Cinnamon Ice-cream. For an extra special treat ask for some time with knowledgeable and fun Maitre Fromager, Mr. Richard Peterson who offers an unbelievably diverse range of Artisanal cheeses and does pairing to help enhance these fine cheeses.
