Organization
Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra
The Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra provides the greater Nashville area with both a performance opportunity for talented amateur musicians and an accessible listening opportunity for classical music fans or fans-to-be. About 100 musicians of different backgrounds and skill levels come together for weekly rehearsals and to perform 4-5 concerts each year in various locations. All concerts are performed free-of-charge and our audience members include serious concert-goers, family and friends, and people who are curious about what all this classical stuff is, anyway!
The NPO is a 501c(3) non-profit organization. We welcome new players and new concertgoers throughout the year. Our mission is to perform a broad repertoire – different genres and styles anchored in the classical tradition. At each concert, you are sure to recognize at least one piece, be intrigued by another, and delighted by yet another!-
