In 20 years, the Lupus Foundation, Mid-South Chapter has grown from a small group of lupus patients meeting on a monthly basis, to approximately 400 members. The chapter has moved from a budget of under $5,000, to a budget of over $100,000 and from a board of lupus patients who cared deeply for the chapter but were too often too sick to do the necessary work, to a community based board with varied talents and skills.

The Lupus Foundation of America, Mid-South Chapter, is the mid-south's leading nonprofit voluntary health organization dedicated to finding the causes of and cure for lupus and providing support and services to all people affected by lupus. Lupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body.
