    Oasis Center

This year, Oasis Center celebrates 36 years of service to youth and families in the greater Nashville area. What began as a simple drop-in center for youth in crisis has evolved into a far-reaching youth-centered organization that offers safety, hope, healing, and opportunities for growth to every youth, whether homeless, needing counseling, or wanting to become involved in their community.

Currently, efforts are focused through four primary programs: Crisis Services (outreach, hotline and youth emergency shelter for youth ages 13 - 17); Transitional Living services (assistance to homeless youth and youth aging out of foster care ages 18-21); Counseling Services (individual, group and family counseling); and Youth Leadership Development (youth leadership training, civic engagement, volunteerism, and Oasis AmeriCorps).

Throughout our history we have developed successful models for helping youth assume heightened responsibility not only for their own wellbeing but also the wellbeing of our community. Oasis Center provides life-changing opportunities to more than 3,000 youth and their families each year, representing more than 60 different schools and homes that speak 26 different languages! Oasis reaches an additional 5,000+ through educational outreach programs in schools, congregations, and workplaces.
