International Black Film Festival of Nashville

The International Black Film Festival of Nashville (IBFF), established in 2006, is a collaboration of dedicated professionals who recognize a need for a "community" effort for African American and other communities of color to showcase their work as emerging and skilled independent filmmakers, actors, composers, screenwriters, directors and other film industry professions. While visibility and job opportunities have only marginally increased, the majority of African Americans typically are not afforded the necessary access or resources and are often overlooked in this industry. Our mission is not simply to be just a "movie house", but an environment where the novice and the veteran have access to profitable opportunities, gather to expand and share their knowledge and network.
