    Sewanee: The University of the South is located atop the Cumberland Plateau between Nashville and Chattanooga. Sewanee’s physical environment, which includes a 10,000-acre campus, provides an unparalleled place in which to study and reflect, and has, over its history, become a meeting place for some of America’s most respected literary figures. It is home of the well-known Sewanee Writers’ Conference, the Sewanee Review, and holds the copyrights to Tennessee Williams’ body of work, which was left to the school by the playwright.
