    The Nashville Wine Auction (formerly l'Ete du Vin) is America’s oldest charity wine auction. Our mission is to unite the wine community to fund the fight against cancer and to date, thanks to the generosity and support of hundreds of donors, wine and food professionals, sponsors, businesses, volunteers and participants, l'Eté du Vin has raised and contributed over $16 million to our cancer related charities. These charities include American Cancer Society (Hope Lodge and Camp Horizon), Gilda’s Club Nashville, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Middle Tennessee, The Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation, St. Thomas Cancer Network, Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, and Williamson Medical Center Foundation.

    In the summer of 1980, l’Eté du Vin began with a single auction and received its original name Un Eté du Vin or “A Summer of Wine.” It began simply enough. A group of Nashville friends, led by Tennessean critic Homer Blitch and businessman Thomas J. Milam, were looking for a new and entertaining way to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. The event operated under the non-profit status of the American Cancer Society. Over the years l’Eté du Vin expanded to a series of wine-themed events, spanning the entire summer and drawing attendees and wine professionals from all across the United States.
