Alexander Looby Theatre at Looby Branch of the Nashville Public Library February 13, 2012 Umbrella is a new musical written by Nashville songwriters Steve Leslie and Len Cohen. Umbrella has been selected for a staged reading by the Nashville Metro Parks New Play Reading Series.

Alexander Looby Theatre at Looby Branch of the Nashville Public Library February 24-March 11, 2012 Regional premiere! Janey Jones can’t get out of bed. She’s lost her job, her boyfriend has dumped her, and she’s sliding into the kind of serious depression that swallowed her grandmother. Desperate and alone, she watches past and present collide as her room is invaded by a fortune teller, her doctor, her dead grandparents, her ex, her mother and more. Can she find a future beyond the darkness, a life worth getting out of bed to explore?

Alexander Looby Theatre at Looby Branch of the Nashville Public Library Unified Flood Preparedness Plan meeting -- Round 2 Presented by Metro Water Services at Z. Alexander Looby Theatre at Looby Branch of the Nashville Public Library February 28, 2012 Nashville residents will have the opportunity to receive information about the development of the city’s “Unified Flood Preparedness Plan.” A series of public meetings are being held to update the community on the plan, which will include recommended projects to reduce damages in the event of major flooding similar to the May 2010 disaster.
