    06/20/13	Hands On History - Dig Into the Past Historic Carnton Plantation Hands On History - Dig Into the Past Presented by Historic Carnton Plantation at Historic Carnton Plantation June 20, 2013 Children will learn about the importance of archaeology to the study of history. They will even get a chance to dig! Please wear clothes that can get dirty and close toed shoes.  Hands-on History These classes are designed to give children ages 5-10 a look at how people lived during the Civil War. Children will learn about a particular topic and participate in an activity or craft related to that topic. Classes are an hour long.
