    Historic Bell Witch Cave

The story of the Bell family's violent tormenting by a malevolent entity in the early 1800's is one of the most famous ghost stories in the country. It is believed that a spirit poisoned patriarch John Bell before disappearing to a nearby cave, threatening to return in the future. Tours of the cave and a reconstructed Bell Cabin are offered several months out of the year, weather permitting.
